Getting here. The nearest airport, Geneva, is just about 50 minute's drive from St Gervais and Chalet Clarence. There are several carriers flying to Chamonix from the UK that will be of use to you, most notably EasyJet and British Airways. But you can also utilise BMI Baby, from Nottingham, Birmingham and Cardiff as well as KLM from Gatwick. From Geneva, we can help you arrange transport by mini-bus, which will cost in the region of €40 per person each way. Alternatively, you can hire a car at Geneva. This is not only very straight forward, but it will give you greater flexibility once in the resort. From the airport [on the Swiss side] follow the signs to France - Autoroute Blanche -Tolls. Soon you will see signs to the Mont Blanc Tunnel and Italy [A40]. Take exit 21 and follow the signs to St Gervais. To reach Clarence, drive through the town and take the road signposted to Les Contamines. The chalet is about 2km along this road. After the Dome du Miage restaurant on your left, there is a left hand bend, the road then straightens out and Clarence is about 150m on the left hand side - look out for the white granite posts. |
